We got mixed news when we met with Christian’s Child Study group at the school last Thursday.The testing concluded that Christian has ADHD, which we need to explore with our doctor (we have an appointment next Thursday). It was very interesting to hear from each person who evaluated him (he was evaluated in several areas and settings), and each had a similar story about his impulsive chatter and inability to sit down and focus. He did, however, do very well on the IQ-equivalent test. He was right on average for almost each topic, and had a great spike in sequencing (the counselor said this was the highest score she’d seen in that area).
At least now we know what we’re dealing with and can figure out how to deal with it… I think after we see our doctor next week we’ll be looking for a naturopath to consult as well.
On another Christian-related note, the baseball season is going well. They’re even, wins and losses. Bill’s doing a great job of keeping his blog updated with pictures and stats (bill.abella1.net).
